However, the added weight of a battery and a motor posed a significant challenge. The team overcame this challenge by using untraditional materials for an electric bike such as carbon and kevlar instead of metal and alloy.

Zoomo Cargo's design is backed by extensive research in aerodynamics and weight ratio to stiffness of the frames. This method is a new approach in the electric bicycles industry and has not been explored before.
